Carlos Castillon
Editor
ICF Class of '00

Carlos was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the Pico/Union area near the new Staples Center with his two brothers and younger sister.

As long as he could remember, he had always been interested in filmmaking. When he was seven, he was already shooting videos of magic shows he would stage making his friends disappear. His parents have always been very supportive of his efforts.

Carlos graduated from Roosevelt High School where his favorite subjects were Film, History and Science.

After graduating from the Inner-City Filmmakers 2000 Summer Program, Carlos enrolled at Santa Monica College. He is also continuing his ICF experience with the Intermediate Avid Editing Class.

"ICF is a great learning experience. I originally thought filmmaking would be easy, but through ICF I learned there are many steps to making a good film. The process is more interesting to me now because of all there is to learn."
